"On Thursday, August 6th, The Feast of The Transfiguration of the Lord, at 2pm in the church of St. John the Baptist, Pointe Claire, I intend to ordain The Reverend Geert Jan Boudewijnse, L.Th., Ph.D. to the presbyterate.
In compliance with current government health regulations in this time of pandemic, the ordinations will occur in the presence of a maximum of 10 persons from a maximum of 3 different households. Following the rubric for the ordination of a priest in the Book of Alternative Services this shall include two priests, with a lay and presbyter presenters, the bishop and the candidate. The service will be broadcast for public viewing on the Diocesan social media platforms.

Online Courses, Montreal Dio Fall 2020

In Fall 2020, Dio is offering a range of online courses that will help equip students for life in a changing church. Some courses are short—just a few weeks—while others last the entire semester. Some require students to do reading and prepare assignments to be graded and some just require students to show up with a willingness to learn. Some can earn credit towards a degree, either at Dio or by transferring to another institution.

Ongoing education and learning is essential for the vitality of the church and its ministry. These courses are for a range of different audiences and cover a wide array of topics. Whatever your background in the church and however you serve in ministry, we hope that you will find in these offerings something that will help you grow as a follower of Jesus Christ.
